The Veterans Academic Resource Center, or VARC, is your one-stop solution to your needs as a student veteran. We provide offices, study space and lounge space, as well as access to a number of university offices, in one central location.

At the Veterans Academic Resource Center, our goals are to: Help you understand and ensure your access to all of the campus resources available to you; Help you succeed by providing study space and special tutoring at your convenience; Help UCF faculty and staff understand your unique needs as a student veteran; Provide you with the tools you need to stay on track and finish your degree.

Veterans Academic Resource Center is hiring for VA Work Study and VARC Peer Mentors for the Fall 2015 Semester.

VA Work Study Positions Available:
Veterans and dependents, are you interested in flexible fall employment?
If you are using GI bill benefits and enrolled at least ¾ time, you are eligible for VA Work Study at the VARC!
No formal experience necessary, just a commitment to excellent customer service. You must be reliable, dependable, and a team player.
The pay rate is $8.05, non-taxable. NO evenings, NO weekends, NO holidays required!

VARC Peer Mentor Positions Available:
VARC Peer Mentoring positions are available for the Fall 2015 Semester for those UCF Student Veteran using or not using GI Bill Benefits. Peer Mentors provide Peer Advising, Academic & Social Programming, and Referrals to On and Off Campus Resources. Peer Mentors work between 10 to 15 hours/week and compensated $8.05/hour, and on-site training will be provided.
