Congrats To Our 2020 Spring Student Veteran Graduates!

Posted Friday, May 1, 2020 @ 4:34 PM

The UCF Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremonies have been changed to a Virtual Event on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Due to the recent situation, the University also moved to remote instruction, and the University’s programs and services have been postponed or canceled.

Each semester, the Veterans Academic Resource Center (VARC) invites our graduating student veterans to a graduation reception to honor and congratulate them on their academic success. During this reception, we have a keynote speaker and the Coining Ceremony. During the Ceremony, each attendee is presented with a Veteran Stole and VARC Challenge Coin. The SALUTE National Veterans Honors Society members in attendance also receive their honor cord.

Due to current regulations an guidelines, the VARC is unable to have this reception for our Spring 2020 graduating student veterans. However, we still want to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our student veterans!

We send this message to you in hopes you would like to share this moment and post congratulatory messages to our graduates as well. We have posted the names of all 180 plus student veteran graduates on the VARC website and Facebook pages.

If you would like to share a special message of Congratulations to an individual or the group, please send your messages via email to our VARC Peer Mentor and Graduation Event Coordinator, Bradley Hubbell, at VARCPeerMentor@ucf.edu. We will accept messages throughout the next couple of weeks as we receive them.

Thank you in advance, and again congratulations to our UCF Spring 2020 Graduating Student Veterans.
