Chapter 33 (Post 9/11) Students: Monthly Call-in Verification Required

As of  Friday, December 17, 2021, students using Chapter 33 (Post 9/11) Educational Benefits will be required to verify their enrollment. The VA Educational Office will be sending communications to you in the coming months, be on the lookout for more information.

All programs offered through UCF Continuing Education are not approved as part of the GI Bill Educational Benefits.  Graduate Certificate Programs are eligible for GI Educational Benefits.  Approved list of Graduate Certificate Program, click here.

Please consult with the Veterans Academic Resource Center and/or the VA Educational Office directly before enrolling into any these programs.

Comcast NBCUniversal

Student Veterans of America and NBC Universal have partnered to award two (2) $12,000 scholarship to student veterans.  This scholarship is open to all student veterans of all branches and conflicts.


  • Be pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited two-year or four-year institution of higher learning, located in the United States.
  • Be enrolled for the 2020 – 2021 academic year
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Be a current student veteran as demonstrated by a DD-214


Please provide answers to the following two essay questions in one documents using a maximum of 300-500 words per essay.

  1. Tell us about your previous leadership experiences, whether in high school or during your service.  How have you carried these experiences forward in your classroom or in other university activities?
  2. Why are interested in NBCUniversal and a career in the entertainment industry?  If you had to pick a specific function, which one are you most interested in and why (example: marketing, public relations, production, development, business, etc.)?

Required Materials

  • Current Resume
  • Unofficial copy of current university transcript updated for the most recent completed semester
  • Proof of military services, copy of your DD-214
  • Responses to the two essay questions
