Raytheon SPY-6 Scholarship


Student Veterans of America and Raytheon Company have partnered to provide two (2) $10,000 scholarships to students veterans demonstrating a commitment to and passion for their chosen field of study, as well as demonstrated leadership and engagement within their community. The Raytheon SPY-6 Scholarship is offered exclusively to U.S. Navy Veterans and is named after the U.S. Navy Spy-6 Family of Radars.

The 2023 Raytheon SPY-6 Scholarship application will remain open until Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 11:59 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Student veterans must complete the online application, answer two essay questions, and attach the required documents submitted prior to the deadline to be considered.

Eligibility

All successful candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Navy Veteran
  • Be entering their sophomore, junior, or sending year of undergraduate study, or be enrolled in a graduate program for the current academic year
  • Be attending full-time at an accredited for year-college or university in the U.S.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and passion for their chosen field of study
  • Demonstrate leadership and engagement in their community
  • Be a current student veteran (includes members of the National Guard or Reserve), as demonstrated by a DD-214 and current transcript
  • Have received an honorable discharge, much be a veteran in good standing

Essay Questions

  1. What do you hope to accomplish with your degree?
  2. Did you serve on a Naval ship?  If yes, briefly explain your role/experience.
