Vet2Vet Peer Mentors spotlighted in NSM Today article

Veterans Academic Resource Center’s (VARC) Vet2Vet Peer Mentors, Talbot Allen and Bradley Hubbell recently spoke with a student reporter from NSM Today.  Bradley and Talbot spoke about how they view their roles to provide campus and community resources and provide support for approximately 1500 student veterans currently enrolled at the University of Central Florida (UCF).   Additionally, Cameron Mulloy, one of the VARC’s VA Workstudy Students (VAWS) spoke on the importance of having the Vet2Vet Peer Mentor Program.

Vet2Vet Peer Mentors are a vital part of the Veterans Academic Resource Center, where they are there to assist student veterans successfully transition to civilian and academic life while at UCF.  They also educate student veterans about the resources available at UCF and Central Florida.  They strive to increase student veteran involvement in other university-related student clubs and organizations.  Last, they assist with the development of the student veteran community where additional needed help may be provided, through programming and outreach efforts.
